At the request of one of my favorite fellow corgi-lovers for more Enzo Adventure Photos, I will be starting a mini-series centered around the most handsome, athletic, and talented corgi in all the world: Enzo!
Enzo has been my little buddy for the past seven and a half years, and loves going on all sorts of adventures. Despite his short legs, he is actually quite athletic and more capable of rugged hikes than you'd think.
However, having short legs does come with some limitations. Deep powder, in particular, is probably the most challenging terrain to conquer, as an exuberant leap is required every time forward movement is desired. Even so, Enzo LOVES the snow!
Enzo’s favorite snow activities include the following:
Rolling
Chasing snowballs
Eating snowballs
Chasing Tesla through the powder
Chasing more snowballs
In the last storm we got close to two feet of fresh powder, so for the past few days, deep snow conditions have been our life, making our regular, everyday walks an adventure and a half. However, despite Enzo’s affinity for snow in general, two feet of snow is a little beyond Enzo’s comfort level (and overall height). His preferred depth of snow is closer to the three to six inch range (about the height of his stubby little legs).
If Enzo has any hopes of keeping up with his longer-legged counterparts (which include myself, Tesla, and Jeff when he’s not traveling), his best bet is to follow in my footsteps and the path I leave when I wade through the fluffy form of H20. Even then, only his eyes and ears are visible over the mini berms. Treading through this is… exhausting.
So while we wait for the snow to melt down to a more manageable height for Mister Stubby Legs, we will do our best to enjoy the snow we have, while we have it. And while Enzo might prefer the shallow depths of this powdery white stuff, he has found several ways to enjoy things as they are now. For example…
Sometimes Enzo likes to follow Tessie through the snow-pathways…
Sometimes Enzo likes to venture off on his own…
Sometimes Enzo looks like a whale breaching through the snow…
And sometimes he just poses in the cutest possible ways, as if he knows he is being photographed. He must just know just how handsome he is.
